One day, while walking to the store, I passed by a nursing home.
On the front lawn were six old ladies lying naked on the grass. I thought this was a bit unusual, but continued on my way to the store.

On my return trip, I passed the same nursing home with the same six old ladies lying naked on the lawn.
This time my curiosity got the best of me and I went inside to talk to the Manager.
Do you know there are six ladies lying naked on your front lawn?"

Yes," he said. "They're retired prostitutes and they're having a yard sale"



And this is why it is good to be the boss...

Been working hard today...almost got the house as finished as I can without someone finishing the upstairs!! Aches and pains feel pretty good today!! Have a good evening all!!

Last week was a little nuts but that isn't anything new to me!
I will call out for prayers though.... My friend's baby daddy was shot in the head and the bullet went into his brain. At this point they are saying that they cannot remove it without causing more damage. But my thoughts are he is alive..Praise God. He is having trouble remembering things and that will prove to be troublesome. For now he has some swelling in the brain that they are hoping will let up and he will start therapy later this week.

Over the weekend I had more people in and out of my house at one time than I have in ages!! Most of them were welcomed guests like Daddy of course..but spending the day with my mom can prove to put a damper on any day!! WE just don't see eye to eye! She is moving again which to me is a triggered reminder of the insanity that was my childhood. But that is my shit so I don't bring it up to her. Besides like I said we don't see eye to eye..and if I don't give her my perspective she can't tell me I am wrong!!

We did go bowling...Daddy, myself, mom, my brother and his wife, best friend, baby boy and baby girl adn my niece!! It was a good time. IT reminded me of happier teenage years when I had fun on a regular basis come hell or highwater. And times when daddy and I were getting to know each other and he would come hang out with me and whoever happened to be along for the ride. Surprisingly it was usually my brother and girlfriend (now sis in law)! So it was pretty nostalgic like I said!! Would have been better of course if hubby would have been there. But a good time was had to say the least!

Still at war with these fleas I am beginning to think that they will never go away!! But I am still at it. We will continue on and win this war!!
Working on the house like mad and getting ready for the new school year!! Baby girl went back today...I just spoke with her on the phone and she said that all her books are HUGE!!
Baby boy starts back to school on Wednesday and I am sure I will spend a good deal of the day in tears...my baby in Kindergarten!! NO more babies!!! That is a good thing for me but still a change and I don't do change very well!!

Throwing out the old and nothing can replace it
Existing day after day
Holding on for my time to live
Permission only after the chores are done
Learning from the consequences
And making the best I can better
